RossLaw Journal of Legal Studies (RJLS) is a scholarly journal dedicated to the development of legal scholarship through the publication of original research, conceptual studies, and critical analyses of contemporary legal issues. The journal focuses primarily on criminal law and civil law, with particular attention to the development of Indonesian law, legal theory, legislation, judicial practice, and comparative legal perspectives.
RJLS aims to provide an academic platform for researchers, lecturers, legal practitioners, and students to disseminate scholarly findings and contribute to the advancement of legal knowledge and legal reform.
RJLS welcomes original manuscripts in the following areas:
RJLS also considers interdisciplinary and comparative legal studies directly relevant to criminal law, civil law, legal institutions, legal theory, legislation, judicial reasoning, and the development of Indonesian law.
The journal considers original research articles, normative legal research, empirical legal research, and conceptual or theoretical legal studies. Manuscripts must demonstrate academic relevance, a clear research problem, an appropriate methodology, sound legal analysis, and a meaningful contribution to the development of legal scholarship.
All submissions are subject to an initial editorial assessment for relevance, originality, completeness, and compliance with the journal's author guidelines. Manuscripts that pass the initial assessment are processed through the journal's peer-review procedure. Acceptance decisions are based on scholarly quality, relevance to the journal's scope, reviewer recommendations, and the final editorial decision.
RJLS does not guarantee acceptance of any manuscript solely on the basis of submission. All authors are expected to comply with the journal's publication ethics and research integrity requirements.
